COURSE CURRICULUM

The Sport Management option requires students to complete a total of 40 credit points, selecting from a range of subjects designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and skills relevant to the sports industry. Core areas of study include Event Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Fundamentals of Finance, and Global Sports Law and Governance, each worth 10 credit points. These subjects equip students with practical and theoretical knowledge necessary for planning, organising, and managing sporting events and organisations, while also understanding legal frameworks and governance in a global sports context.Additional subjects focus on leadership, management, and marketing within the sports sector. Options such as Managing People, Leading Innovation and Change, and Marketing Fundamentals develop essential skills for team leadership, strategic decision making, and promoting sports organisations effectively. Specialised courses, including International Sport Business and Managing High Performance Sport, provide insights into global sports management practices, elite athlete performance environments, and commercial aspects of the sports industry. Business Statistics further supports students in analysing data and making evidence-based decisions.
