COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Laws program is structured to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of legal principles while developing practical and professional skills across three years of study. In the first year, students complete foundational law subjects alongside core areas of contract law, tort law, and criminal law, in addition to the university core subjects, establishing a solid base of legal knowledge and analytical skills. In the second year, students advance their studies by undertaking compulsory subjects such as property law, administrative law, and constitutional law, while also selecting elective subjects that align with their interests and career goals. During this period, students are encouraged to engage with career services at the Career Development Centre to explore legal work experience and clerkship opportunities, gaining practical insight into the profession. In the final year, students complete their remaining compulsory law subjects and electives, consolidating their expertise across various areas of law. Work experience continues to be an important focus in the third year, helping students prepare for professional practice and ensuring they are well-equipped for the next steps after graduation. This structured progression ensures that graduates develop a strong foundation in legal theory, critical thinking, and practical skills, positioning them for success in diverse legal careers and professional pathways.
