COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Jurisprudence is structured to provide students with a strong foundation in both legal studies and a complementary field within the humanities or social sciences over two years of study. In the first year, students focus on developing essential skills through Bond University’s core subjects, including Critical Thinking and Communication, Collaboration, Teams and Leadership, Responsibility, Integrity and Civic Discourse, and the Beyond Bond program, which emphasises professional development and community engagement. Alongside these core subjects, students complete foundational legal subjects such as Legal Foundations A and Legal Foundations B, while also selecting elective subjects in law and their chosen humanities or social sciences discipline. This combination ensures that students build a solid understanding of legal principles, analytical thinking, and professional skills while beginning to explore their complementary area of study. In the second year, students continue to deepen their knowledge and expertise by studying advanced subjects within both law and their chosen humanities or social sciences field, allowing them to integrate interdisciplinary perspectives and further develop skills that are transferable to a wide range of professional careers. This structure equips graduates with a sophisticated understanding of law and their supplementary discipline, along with essential competencies such as problem-solving, negotiation, and effective communication, preparing them for diverse career opportunities where legal knowledge and interdisciplinary expertise are highly valued.
