COURSE CURRICULUM

The core curriculum is designed to build strong foundational skills that support academic, professional, and personal development across all undergraduate programs. Students are required to complete three core subjects that focus on critical thinking and communication, responsibility and integrity in civic and professional contexts, and collaboration for global change. Together, these subjects strengthen students’ ability to analyse complex issues, communicate effectively, act ethically, and work collaboratively to address challenges at local and global levels. In addition to these subjects, students must complete the Beyond Bond Program, a compulsory professional development initiative unique to the university. This program responds to the rapidly changing nature of work by helping students future-proof their careers through the development of broad employability skills valued by employers. Beyond Bond uses a practical, activity-based approach that is embedded throughout all undergraduate degrees, ensuring students continuously build real-world capabilities alongside their academic studies. Complementing the core curriculum, students are also required to complete experiential learning subjects totalling forty credit points. These subjects focus on global challenges and immersive learning experiences that connect theory with practice. Through Global Challenges 1, students explore pressing international issues, while Immersion subjects provide structured work-based experiences and professional placements. These experiential components allow students to apply their knowledge in real workplace settings, gain practical insights, and develop professional confidence, ensuring they graduate with both academic understanding and meaningful industry experience.
