COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Data Analytics is designed to develop strong analytical, technical, and professional skills over three years of study, preparing students for careers in data-driven industries. In the first year, students complete essential introductory and intermediate-level subjects, including Bond University core subjects that ensure every student develops critical thinking, collaboration, leadership, and integrity. Alongside these core subjects, students study nine program-specific subjects, covering introductory data science, basic business concepts, collaboration for global change, statistical learning, regression and linear models, and applied econometrics. These subjects provide a solid foundation in data analytics, business understanding, and collaborative problem-solving. In the second year, students progress to six intermediate subjects, including Applied Data Analytics Project, Deep Learning Through Neural Networks, and Modern Machine Learning, which deepen technical knowledge and practical analytical skills. Students also complete six electives, including at least one four-subject minor of their choosing, allowing them to tailor their degree to personal interests and career goals. In the third and final year, students undertake remaining required subjects, focusing on applied machine learning in conjunction with statistical learning and regression models, consolidating their expertise in advanced data analytics techniques. Opportunities for practical experience are available through elective study tours or business internships, providing valuable industry exposure and professional development. Additionally, students may choose to undertake an International Semester or Exchange Program at one of more than 80 partner universities, gaining global experience and perspective over one or two semesters. This program structure, based on a full-time study load with a January start date, ensures that graduates develop comprehensive technical knowledge, practical experience, and a global outlook, equipping them to thrive in diverse careers in data analytics, business intelligence, research, and related fields, while international students study in January and September semesters only.
