COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Data Analytics is structured to build a strong foundation in data science and analytical skills while providing opportunities for specialisation and real-world experience across three years of study. In the first year, students begin by completing essential introductory and intermediate-level subjects, including Bond University core subjects that ensure every student develops critical thinking, collaboration, leadership, and integrity. Alongside these core subjects, students complete nine program-specific subjects covering introductory data science, basic business concepts, mathematical statistics, infrastructure for data analytics, quantitative methods, statistical learning, regression and linear models, and applied econometrics. These subjects equip students with the foundational knowledge and technical skills needed to analyse data, interpret results, and apply analytical methods to real-world problems. In the second year, students progress to six intermediate subjects, including Applied Data Analytics Project, Deep Learning Through Neural Networks, and Modern Machine Learning, which deepen their technical expertise and practical application of data analytics techniques. Students also complete six electives, including at least one four-subject minor of their choosing, allowing them to tailor their studies to their interests and career goals. Year two also offers the opportunity to gain practical experience through a study tour or business internship as an elective subject, providing valuable industry exposure and professional networking opportunities. In the final year, students can further enhance their global perspective and practical experience by undertaking an International Semester or Exchange Program. This flexible and progressive structure ensures that graduates of the Bachelor of Data Analytics develop a comprehensive understanding of data science, practical analytical skills, and professional experience, preparing them for a wide range of careers in data analytics, business, and research in a dynamic, data-driven world.
