COURSE CURRICULUM

In the first year of the Bachelor of Business program at Bond University, students begin by completing a combination of university core subjects and foundational courses relevant to the field of business. These core subjects are designed to develop essential skills in critical thinking, communication, leadership, and ethical decision-making. Alongside them, students undertake key introductory subjects such as Marketing and Principles of Economics, which lay the groundwork for more advanced business concepts in later years. From the beginning of their studies, students also benefit from the Bond Business Mentoring Program, a distinctive support network that connects them with academic staff, experienced senior students, and alumni. This mentoring initiative helps ease the transition into university life, fosters academic and professional development, and provides valuable guidance throughout the degree.In the second year, students choose a major to tailor their degree to their specific interests and career goals. Available majors include entrepreneurship and innovation, international business, management, marketing, marketing communication, and tourism management. These specialised areas allow students to gain deeper knowledge and skills in a focused area of the business world. During this year, students also have the opportunity to broaden their global perspective and real-world experience through an international exchange semester or a business internship. These elective options provide hands-on learning and valuable networking opportunities, preparing students for diverse career pathways.In the third and final year, students complete the remaining subjects required for their major, as well as any outstanding elective units. A key feature of the final year is the inclusion of the Business Model Generation and Business Model Execution subjects. These practical, skills-based courses teach students how to conceptualise, launch, and manage a business venture, equipping them with the tools and strategic thinking required to innovate and lead in today’s dynamic business environment.
