It begins with foundational business-focused subjects like Business Academic Skills and Understanding People and Organisations, which equip students with critical thinking, effective communication, self-awareness, and personal development techniques. Financial Operations introduces students to key financial concepts and decision-making skills essential for hospitality managers. Industry-relevant subjects such as Food and Beverage Cost Control and Food and Beverage Operations and Service provide hands-on training in restaurant and kitchen management, including hygiene, stock control, and customer service. Introduction to the Accommodation Sector offers insight into the structure and global scope of the tourism and hospitality industry, while Guest Experience and Service Management focuses on creating memorable guest interactions through customer journey mapping and service quality strategies. Students also explore the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) sector, learning about event planning and sustainable business events. All subjects are delivered both on campus and online, offering flexibility to suit diverse learning needs. Practical experience is a key element of the program, highlighted through Industry Placement I Parts A and B.
