COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Administration requires completion of 144 units designed to build strong foundations in business knowledge, analytical skills, and leadership capability. Students may complete a maximum of 60 units at the 1000-level and must complete at least 18 units of 3000-level Management (MGMT) courses to ensure advanced study in leadership and organisational practice. A minimum of 12 units must also be completed in Transdisciplinary courses, supporting broader problem-solving and integrative thinking. The core program includes 60 units of compulsory courses covering key areas of business and economics, such as BUSI2025 International Business, BUSN1001 Business Reporting and Analysis, ECON1101 Microeconomics 1, ECON1102 Macroeconomics 1, MGMT1003 Management, People and Organisations, MGMT2003 Business Decision Making, MGMT2030 Human Resource Management and Strategy, MGMT2100 Communication for Business, MGMT3021 Leadership, and MKTG2004 Introduction to Marketing. In addition, students complete 12 units from transdisciplinary courses such as Corporate Strategy or Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which develop strategic and innovative thinking. The program also includes 12 to 24 units of electives or applied learning courses, such as internships, industry projects, or global business experiences, with at least 48 units in total drawn from ANU electives. These electives allow students to broaden their knowledge across disciplines and tailor their studies to career goals. Overall, the degree combines theory, practical experience, and flexibility to prepare graduates for diverse roles in business, management, and entrepreneurship.
