The four-year Bachelor of Information Technology/Bachelor of Business curriculum combines advanced technology education with practical business knowledge, preparing students for careers across the rapidly evolving digital economy. In Year 1, students develop foundational IT capabilities through information technology, data and information management, cybersecurity, programming, and Python for data science, alongside business studies in people and organisational management and core curriculum learning. Year 2 expands technical expertise through data management and visualisation, data science and machine learning, advanced programming, and network security, while business subjects introduce financial literacy, buyer behaviour, business law, and marketing. In Year 3, students progress into emerging technologies through artificial intelligence and machine learning, web and mobile application development, applied data mining, and advanced business studies covering global management, organisational behaviour, leadership, sustainability, and finance. Community engagement further develops professional and interpersonal capabilities. Year 4 focuses on applying knowledge through an information technology project covering project management and software engineering, entrepreneurship and innovation, design thinking for business strategy, and work-integrated learning. Students also complete electives that allow them to broaden or specialise their knowledge according to their career interests.
