Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Global Studies

The Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Global Studies curriculum combines core business education with global, political, social, and cultural studies, providing students with both professional and international perspectives. In Year 1, students develop foundational business skills through financial literacy, information technology, marketing, and managing people and organisations, while Global Studies subjects explore global history, international relations, global society, political challenges, and sustainability. Students also begin a chosen business major. Year 2 builds on these foundations through further major subjects, business units, Global Studies electives or an arts minor, business law, and core curriculum studies. In Year 3, students continue their business major and complete community engagement, while undertaking a major international learning experience in Semester 2. This can include four Global Study Abroad units, an international internship, the International Development Global Experience, or the Rome Semester Program, subject to approval. The international component provides valuable exposure to different cultures, workplaces, and global environments. In Year 4, students complete advanced business major units alongside Global Studies electives or minor subjects and the Global Studies Research Project, developing research and analytical capabilities. Overall, the curriculum integrates business management, technology, marketing, law, international relations, sustainability, global society, research, and overseas experience. This combination prepares graduates for careers in business, international organisations, global development, consulting, management, and other roles requiring strong commercial knowledge and cross-cultural awareness.
