COURSE CURRICULUM

To qualify for the MBA specialising in Information Technology Management, students must complete 12 units totalling 96 credit points, consisting of eight core units, three specialisation units, and one elective. The core units provide a strong foundation in business disciplines, including ethical, legal and industrial frameworks, applied accounting and financial management, leadership and influence, digital transformation in business, supplier and consumer behaviour, marketing and communications, human resource management and employment relations, and an applied industry project. Students who commenced their studies in 2025 or earlier may substitute certain units with project management alternatives, subject to prerequisite requirements such as completion of 24 or 48 credit points. The IT Management specialisation includes three focused units: information systems, data and information management, and software and systems design, which develop technical and managerial capabilities in handling digital systems and data-driven environments. In addition, students are required to select one elective from a broad range of options, including business strategy, operations management, business law, international business, business analytics, artificial intelligence, critical thinking, project management, and health management subjects. This course structure ensures students gain comprehensive business knowledge alongside specialised IT expertise and flexible learning options suited to evolving career pathways.
