COURSE CURRICULUM

To qualify for the MBA specialising in Health Management, students must complete 12 units totalling 96 credit points, including eight core units, three specialisation units, and one elective. The core units provide a strong foundation in business disciplines such as ethical, legal and industrial frameworks, applied accounting and financial management, leadership and influence, digital transformation, supplier and consumer behaviour, marketing and communications, human resource management and employment relations, and an applied industry project. Some flexibility is available for students who commenced their studies in 2025 or earlier, allowing substitution of certain project management units where applicable. The Health Management specialisation consists of three units that focus on sector-specific knowledge, including the Australian healthcare system and its contemporary challenges, governance, safety and quality in healthcare, and evidence-based practice in healthcare. These units develop an understanding of healthcare systems, policy, and quality standards. In addition, students must select one elective from a diverse range of options such as business strategy, operations management, business law, international business, business analytics, artificial intelligence for business leaders, critical thinking, project management, and information systems-related subjects. This course structure ensures students gain comprehensive business knowledge alongside specialised healthcare expertise and flexible learning choices.
