COURSE CURRICULUM

Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds applying to any AQF Level 7 qualification at APIC must meet specific English language entry requirements, which can be demonstrated through internationally recognised tests such as an IELTS Academic overall score of 6.0 with minimum scores of 5.5 in writing and speaking, a TOEFL iBT overall score of 65 with at least 21 in writing and 18 in speaking, a Cambridge CPE or CAE score of 169 or above with no band lower than 162 in writing and speaking, or a PTE Academic score of 50 with at least 42 in writing and speaking. Once admitted, students in the Bachelor of Business develop broad and coherent knowledge across various business disciplines, including accounting, project management, economics, statistics, general management and marketing, as well as an understanding of business practice, ethics, codes of conduct and corporate governance standards. The program builds essential skills in research, critical analysis, evaluation of evidence and interpretation of business data, while strengthening cognitive and technical abilities needed for problem solving and informed decision making in professional environments. The development of strong communication skills enables graduates to collaborate effectively, present information clearly and engage confidently in business, academic and industry contexts. Students also learn to apply their knowledge through practical tasks that involve solving organisational problems, implementing innovative practices, making strategic decisions and demonstrating professional accountability. The course encourages ethical behaviour, self-directed learning and teamwork, preparing graduates for dynamic and diverse business settings. In addition, students build capabilities in areas such as planning, coordination, leadership, analysis, and organisational effectiveness. These skills support a range of career outcomes across multiple business fields, enabling graduates to pursue roles in management, operations, project work, consulting, administrative functions and other professional areas aligned with contemporary industry needs.
