These units provide the scientific and theoretical basis for understanding human communication, swallowing, and related health processes. Additional introductory units, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Health and Life Course Development for Health Professionals, ensure that students gain a broad perspective on health and culturally responsive practice.As students progress, they engage with more advanced topics such as Functional Anatomy of the Head, Neck and Thorax, Language and Literacy in Early Childhood, Speech and Hearing, and Language, Literacy and Hearing in School-Aged Children.
