COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business program is structured to provide students with a solid foundation in business principles while offering flexibility to tailor their degree to individual interests and career goals. In the first year, students complete their initial eight subjects by studying one university core subject alongside three required subjects each semester. Required subjects include Accounting Principles, Management Accounting, Principles of Economics, Fundamentals of Finance, and Responsible and Sustainable Organisations, providing a strong grounding in key business concepts. From the first semester, students also gain access to a supportive network of academic staff, senior students, and alumni through the unique Business Mentoring Program, which offers guidance, industry insights, and professional development opportunities. In the second year, students select one of six available majors and complete six elective subjects, allowing them to deepen their expertise in a specific area of business. Students also have the opportunity to gain practical experience through a business internship or an exchange semester as an elective, providing exposure to real-world business environments and international perspectives. Additionally, students are encouraged to complete a second major or minor to diversify their skill set and enhance their employability. This program structure, based on a full-time study load with a January commencement, ensures that graduates develop both a strong understanding of business fundamentals and specialised knowledge, along with professional skills and practical experience, preparing them for diverse career opportunities in the global business environment.
