Course Curriculum

The Master of Physiotherapy program is structured to provide students with comprehensive theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and professional experience required for a career in physiotherapy. In the first year, students complete 96 credit points, covering foundational and applied courses such as Foundations of Physiotherapy Practice, Applied Sciences in Acute Physiotherapy (1–3), Applied Sciences in Sport and Spinal Physiotherapy, Research and Evidence in Health, Health and Wellness in the Community, and Global Health and Sustainable Healthcare. These courses build a strong base in physiotherapy theory, applied clinical skills, research literacy, and an understanding of community and global health contexts.In the second year, students undertake another 96 credit points focused on practical application and advanced professional development. Key courses include Physiotherapy Work Integrated Learning (1–4), Advances in Physiotherapy Research, Extended Physiotherapy Practice and Career Development, Business and Entrepreneurship in Health, and Lifestyle Medicine and Interprofessional Practice. This combination of work-integrated learning, research, and professional practice ensures that graduates are well-prepared to deliver high-quality physiotherapy services, engage in evidence-based practice, and develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills within health care settings.
