The Bachelor of Information Technology (Data Analytics) at Flinders University is structured to provide students with both a solid foundation in computing and specialised skills in data analysis, preparing them for careers in Australia’s data-driven economy.In the first year, students build essential technical and professional skills. Core topics include computing fundamentals, programming, professional skills, and web and database systems. Students study data analytics, network systems, human-centred computing, and cloud and systems administration. Students also begin applying their skills in practical contexts, enhancing problem-solving and professional capabilities.In the third year, students focus on advanced topics and professional practice. Core subjects include advanced data analytics, software engineering, and IT professional practice and project. Students integrate their knowledge through applied projects, gaining hands-on experience in analysing complex datasets, developing predictive models, and delivering insights that inform decision-making in real-world scenarios.
