Core topics include Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Programming 1, Database Modelling and Information Management, Networks and Cybersecurity, and Electronics. Alongside these, students can choose two option topics, allowing early exploration of personal interests within the broader field of software and systems engineering.In the second year, the program deepens technical knowledge and problem-solving ability. Core topics include Data Engineering, which explores large-scale data management; Cloud and Distributed Computing, focusing on modern architectures; and Computer Mathematics, which develops the analytical skills necessary for advanced computing. Students also study Software System Requirements and Design to understand the lifecycle of complex systems, Human Factors for Interactive Web-Based Systems to design user-centered applications, and Computer Programming 2 to enhance coding skills and software development practices.The third year emphasizes advanced technical skills and industry application. Students study Computer Programming 3 to master higher-level concepts, Information Security to address modern cybersecurity challenges, and Theory and Practice of Computation to understand computational limits and algorithms. Software Testing and Quality Assurance ensures students can deliver reliable and efficient systems. A highlight of this year is the 20-week Industry Based Practicum, providing real-world experience in a professional environment, complemented by ICT Management and Professional Standards to prepare students for leadership and ethical responsibilities in the workplace.In the fourth year, students begin the Honours Program in Software Engineering.
