Course Curriculum

The Bachelor of Information Technology (Digital Enterprise) is designed to provide students with strong foundations in IT while emphasizing digital transformation strategies critical to modern business success. In the first year, students build essential skills through units such as User Centred Design, Connected Systems, Digital Literacy, and Data and Information Systems. These core areas equip students with knowledge of how systems interact, how to manage information effectively, and how to understand user needs. They also begin exploring programming and cybersecurity, setting the stage for more specialized work. In the second year, the course introduces practical applications with units like Web Design and Azure DevOps Initiative, while also focusing on business and analytical skills through subjects like Robotic Process Automation and Analysing the Modern Business. Students also study Data Modelling, which strengthens their ability to interpret and use data in decision-making. A major component of the third year is the co-operative placement, offering 60 credit points' worth of real-world experience through two structured industry placements. This immersive professional experience ensures students graduate job-ready with practical skills and industry contacts. In the final semester, students deepen their expertise in user experience design, requirements management, and enterprise transformation using digital technologies. The capstone project unit allows them to apply everything they’ve learned in a real or simulated professional setting. This course is ideal for students who are looking to combine technical IT knowledge with a solid understanding of how digital tools and systems drive business transformation. Graduates are well-prepared for roles in systems analysis, digital consultancy, IT project coordination, and digital business transformation.
