The Bachelor of Business (Marketing) follows a structured progression over three years, combining core business studies with specialized marketing knowledge and practical experience. In Year 1, students begin with foundational subjects that provide a broad understanding of business principles. Semester 1 includes Fundamentals of Accounting and Finance, Introduction to Economics, Introduction to Management, and Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Semester 2 covers Fundamentals of Law, Introduction to Marketing, Professional Identity (Business), and Statistical Methods. These units establish essential skills in finance, law, management, marketing, and data analysis. In Year 2, the course shifts toward more specialized business and marketing topics. Semester 1 includes Data and Information Systems, which supports digital literacy; Consumer Behavior, focusing on psychological and behavioral aspects of marketing; Investment and Portfolio Management, introducing financial decision-making; and Business Strategy, which explores how organizations plan and compete. Semester 2 builds on this with Marketing Communication and Social Media Marketing, which focus on branding, advertising, and digital platforms. Financial Markets and Digital Innovations, along with Corporate Financial Management, provide insight into economic systems and business funding. Year 3 is centered on real-world experience and advanced learning. Semester 1 features two co-operative placement units, each worth 30 credit points, offering full-time industry work placements where students gain valuable hands-on experience and apply classroom knowledge in professional settings. In Semester 2, students return to campus for advanced units, including Marketing Research, Management Accounting, Leadership and Change, and Future of Business. These subjects help students analyze markets, manage resources, lead organizational transformation, and consider emerging trends shaping the business landscape. By graduation, students are equipped with theoretical knowledge, technical skills, and real-world experience, preparing them for a wide range of marketing roles in diverse business environments. This structure ensures a well-rounded, career-ready graduate.
