The second year includes a significant professional placement unit, Youth Work Professional Placement, which runs throughout the year and offers 30 credit points, combined with studies on vulnerable communities and ethics in human services. This practical experience is crucial for developing real-world skills. The final year deepens understanding with units like Theories of Youth, Ideology and Youth Work Practice, Strategies for Social Change, and Inclusive Youth Work Practice, while students continue selecting complementary electives to tailor their learning. The program blends theoretical knowledge with practical experience, preparing graduates to support and empower young people effectively while promoting social change and inclusive practices in diverse communities.
