The psychology course requires students to complete 360 credit points, consisting of 180 credit points of core psychology units and 180 credit points from a combination of majors, minors, or electives offered by the School of Arts and Humanities or other university schools. In Year 1, Semester 1, students study Introduction to Psychology and Psychology of Motivation and Emotion, alongside two supplementary units. Semester 2 includes Biopsychology, Sensation and Perception, Social Determinants of Behaviour, and two more supplementary units. In Year 2, Semester 1, students focus on Fundamentals of Psychological Inquiry and Psychology of Personality and Individual Differences, with additional supplementary units. Semester 2 covers Developmental Psychology, Learning, Memory and Cognition, plus two supplementary units. In Year 3, Semester 1, students take Advanced Methods of Psychological Inquiry and Mental Health and Psychological Interventions, alongside two supplementary units. Finally, in Semester 2 of Year 3, students study Cultural Issues in Psychology and Applications of Psychological Literacy, with two more supplementary units. This structure ensures a thorough grounding in psychology fundamentals, research methods, and applied topics, while allowing flexibility through supplementary units to tailor the degree to individual interests.
