Course Curriculum

The Bachelor of Business (Sport Management) at Deakin University is designed for students who want to build a career in the rapidly growing sport industry. In addition to business studies, students undertake specialised sport management units such as Sport and the Law, Sport Organisation, Sport in Society, High Performance Sport Environments, Sport Facility and Event Management, Sport Industry Experience, Sport Marketing, and Sport Leadership and Governance. The course also includes a compulsory zero-credit-point module focused on academic integrity and provides flexibility through open elective units, which allow students to tailor their degree to personal interests or professional goals. A major highlight of this program is the strong emphasis on real-world learning. Students gain industry experience through internships and placements with some of Australia's top sporting organisations, including the Melbourne Cricket Club, AFL, Swimming Australia, Geelong Cats, and Netball Victoria.
