Course Curriculum

To complete the Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Arts double degree, students must successfully complete 32 credit points. This includes the compulsory non-credit unit, DAI001 Academic Integrity and Respect at Deakin, which must be undertaken in the first study period. The degree is structured with 16 credit points from each component—Commerce and Arts. Within the Bachelor of Commerce portion, students must complete 8 credit points of core units, one 8-credit-point major, and at least 4 credit points at level 3 from the Faculty of Business and Law. For the Bachelor of Arts, students are also required to complete one 8-credit-point major, with a minimum of 4 credit points at level 3 from the Faculty of Arts. The remaining credit points can be used flexibly; students may choose to complete the Employability sequence or select additional electives from the Bachelor of Arts offerings, which may include a minor. It is essential that all course requirements for both the Bachelor of Commerce (M300) and the Bachelor of Arts (A310) are fulfilled to graduate. This double degree is designed to offer a comprehensive and multidisciplinary education, combining business acumen with critical thinking and cultural knowledge, while also providing room for practical experience and academic customization.
