Course Curriculum

Graduates of the Bachelor of Architecture will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the architectural discipline, including its theoretical foundations and the ability to apply knowledge across the key streams of Architectural Design, Science and Technology, Architecture and Culture, and Design Communication. They will think critically, creatively, and reflectively to analyse and respond to the diverse needs of clients, communities, and stakeholders, generating innovative and contextually appropriate design solutions. Students will develop the skills to conduct rigorous scholarly and professional research, accessing and evaluating a wide range of information to inform strategic design decisions. They will communicate effectively with diverse audiences using visual, verbal, and written techniques, ensuring their ideas are clearly conveyed and understood. Graduates will understand and appropriately apply technologies relevant to the discipline, integrating them into architectural practice to enhance design outcomes. Through sustained intellectual curiosity and self-directed learning, students will pursue innovation and excellence within the profession. They will also be aware of, and able to synthesise, local, national, and international factors influencing architecture, appreciating the cultural and physical diversity that shapes design. Ethical practice and professional integrity will underpin their work, enabling graduates to operate effectively both independently and collaboratively in team environments, while responding responsibly to social, cultural, environmental, and professional challenges in the creation of architecture.
