The Bachelor of Equine Science course at Charles Sturt University consists of fourteen core subjects, two unrestricted electives, and either a major or a non-major sequence. For the non-major sequence, students complete seven compulsory subjects focused on applied statistics, animal pharmacology, extension, chemical fundamentals, exercise physiology, industry governance, and breeding technologies, along with one restricted elective selected from topics like parasitology, animal health, or advanced subjects. Alternatively, students may choose to complete a major in Agribusiness Management, which comprises 64 credit points. Additionally, students select two unrestricted electives to further tailor their studies and broaden their skills. This combination of core subjects, electives, and major or non-major pathways offers a comprehensive education that equips students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for a successful career in the equine industry.
