Students also develop a strong scientific foundation through studies in chemistry and microbiology, alongside an understanding of agricultural finance, farm systems management, and the cultural and environmental significance of land through First Nations perspectives. Together, these core subjects ensure graduates have a well-rounded understanding of agricultural systems, sustainability, and innovation.In addition to the core curriculum, students complete 24 credit points of compulsory subjects that focus on applied learning and industry engagement. These include consultancy for farming systems, which develops problem-solving and advisory skills, and an agricultural industry internship that provides substantial workplace learning.
