Students also gain expertise in operating systems, networks, software development methodologies, process and tools for software engineering, and risk and reliability management, ensuring they are well-prepared to tackle the complexities of modern software systems. The 20-credit-point unit, Software Engineering Practice, provides hands-on experience, allowing students to apply learned concepts to real-world projects and develop practical problem-solving skills.In addition to the core units, students select one specialist elective, either a Professional Experience placement or an IT Thesis. The Professional Experience option allows students to gain industry exposure and practical insights by working on live projects, enhancing employability and professional networks.
