Distance learners are required to have reliable internet access, preferably high-speed broadband, to engage effectively with online materials and interactive activities. Students acquire key competencies in areas such as machine learning, risk and reliability, competitiveness, and sustainable engineering practices.The course consists of 160 credit points, comprising core, specialist elective, and research units. The core units focus on essential engineering principles, including sustainability, project management, artificial intelligence, and professional practice. Students can then choose to specialise in Civil and Structural, Electrical and Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering. Each stream provides tailored study areas that align with specific industry needs—ranging from advanced structural and water resources engineering to power systems, renewable energy, fluid mechanics, and control systems.The final stage of the program focuses on research, where students undertake either an academic research thesis or an industry design project.
