Course Curriculum

The Graduate Certificate in Business requires the successful completion of 40 credit points, with each unit valued at 10 credit points. The course structure is designed to provide a strong foundation in business management and strategic thinking while allowing students to tailor their studies through elective options that match their professional goals and interests.Students must complete one compulsory core unit, MAN500 Strategic Management, which focuses on the essential concepts and tools of strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation. This unit equips students with the ability to analyse complex business environments, develop effective strategies, and make decisions that drive organisational success.In addition to the core unit, students must complete 30 credit points from specialist elective units. These electives offer flexibility and cover a range of business disciplines, including Business Analytics, Contemporary Issues in Economics, Economics of Sustainability, Finance and Investment for the Executive, Organisational Change and Development, and Marketing for Managers. Each elective is designed to deepen students’ understanding of modern business practices and enhance their analytical, financial, and leadership skills.The combination of strategic management and specialist electives ensures that graduates develop both a broad understanding of business operations and a focused expertise in selected areas. Upon completion of the 40 credit points, graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and practical skills needed to advance in management roles or pursue further study, such as the Master of Business Administration.
