All units are 10 cp unless specified.First-year cores establish universal foundations: IAS201 Cultural Capabilities, CUC106 Design and Innovation: Communicating Technology, ENG151 Statics, ENG175 Internet of Things, HIT137 Software Now, SMA101 Mathematics 1A, SMA102 Mathematics 1B. Second-year builds analytical depth with ENG252 Dynamics, PMO201 Project Management, SMA209 Mathematics 2A, SMA212 Data Analytics. Advanced cores include ENG305 Safety, Risk and Reliability and ENG519 Sustainability.Specialization begins in year two and intensifies through years three and four. Civil and Structural covers ENG212 Mechanics of Solids, ENG215 Surveying and Construction, ENG367 Hydraulics and Soil Mechanics, ENG311 Geomechanics, ENG364 Materials Engineering, ENG368 Steel and Concrete Structures, ENG515 Water Resources Engineering, ENG516 Road and Traffic Engineering, plus advanced options in structural or geotechnical design. Electrical and Electronics includes ENG221 Analogue Electronics, ENG223 Electrical Circuit Analysis, ENG224 Electrical Machines and Power Systems, ENG229 Digital Systems and Computer Architecture, ENG325 Systems Modelling and Control, ENG377 Electromagnetics and Communication Technology, and electives in signal processing or power systems. Mechanical features ENG212, ENG238 Manufacturing Technologies, ENG247 Fluid and Thermodynamics, ENG325, ENG338 Machine Design Principles, ENG364, ENG534 Dynamics of Engineering Systems, ENG576 Control Engineering, and applications in heat transfer, renewable energy, or turbomachinery.The final year integrates learning through ENG700 Concepts of Academic Research, ENG703 Concepts of Industry Research and Development, and either ENG751 Research and Design for Industry (20 cp) or ENG704 Engineering Research Thesis (20 cp), alongside a major design project. Honours level is calculated from research units and at least four ENG5xx specialist units. The 12-week placement ensures industry readiness and professional networking. Graduates are eligible for Engineers Australia accreditation and international practice.
