Course Curriculum

The Graduate Certificate in Information Technology at CQUniversity consists of four units, totaling 24 credits, designed to provide a practical and foundational understanding of information technology. Students complete three core units: Introduction to Programming (COIT20245), which covers fundamental coding concepts and software development skills; Networking and Cyber Security (COIT20246), which introduces essential principles of network design, management, and security; and Information Systems Analysis and Design (COIT20248), which focuses on evaluating, designing, and implementing IT systems to meet business needs.In addition to the core units, students select one elective from Database Design and Development (COIT20247), which provides practical skills in creating and managing databases, or Professional Skills and Ethics in Information and Communications Technology (COIT20249), which develops ethical awareness, professional standards, and workplace communication skills relevant to the IT sector.Together, these units equip graduates with both technical expertise and professional competencies, preparing them for entry-level IT roles or to enhance existing careers.
