Course Curriculum

The Master of Laws in Australian Law and Practice is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the Legal Practitioners Admission Board, preparing graduates for admission to practice law in Australia. In Semester 1, students enrol in the core subjects required to fulfil these admission requirements, establishing a solid foundation in Australian legal principles and practice. During Semester 2, students either continue with the mandatory subjects to satisfy the Board’s requirements or select postgraduate law electives to complete the full complement of eight subjects, tailoring their studies to their areas of interest. If the Legal Practitioners Admission Board requires students to complete more than eight subjects, additional enrolments can be undertaken after finishing the Master of Laws program. Overall, the program provides a structured pathway to meet professional legal standards while allowing flexibility for specialised legal study according to individual interests.
