Course Curriculum

This full-time study overview outlines a structured pathway through the professional accounting program, based on completing three subjects per semester with a January start. In Semester 1, students begin with foundational subjects including Accounting Principles, Principles of Economics, and Fundamentals of Finance, which establish the core knowledge required for advanced accounting studies and meet accreditation requirements of Australian professional accounting bodies. Semester 2 builds on this foundation with key subjects essential for professional practice, including Business Law, which introduces the regulation of business in Australia, alongside Management Accounting and Financial Accounting and Company Reporting. In Semester 3, students progress to more advanced accounting topics, studying Taxation Practice for Accountants, Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting, and Responsible and Sustainable Organisations, all of which develop deeper technical expertise and ethical awareness required in contemporary accounting roles.
