The Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management is structured to provide a progressive and practical learning experience across three years, equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed for managerial roles in the global hospitality and tourism industries. In the first year, students complete essential introductory and intermediate-level subjects, including Bond University core subjects that develop critical thinking, collaboration, leadership, and integrity. Alongside these, students study seven program-specific subjects, covering areas such as Tourism Analysis and Evaluation, Sustainable Tourism, and Indigenous Culture, as well as two directed electives for Hotel and Tourism Management. These subjects provide a solid foundation in industry knowledge, sustainability, and cultural awareness, preparing students for professional practice. In the second year, students advance their studies by completing five intermediate subjects, including Strategic Pricing and Revenue Management, Human Resource Management, and Rooms Division Management, alongside eight electives that allow for personalisation of the degree. This year also offers the opportunity to gain practical experience through a study tour or business internship as an elective, enabling students to apply their learning in real-world hospitality and tourism settings and develop professional networks. In the final year, students can further broaden their global perspective and professional experience by undertaking an International Semester or Exchange Program, providing exposure to international industry practices and cross-cultural learning. This program structure, based on a full-time study load with a January start date, ensures that graduates develop both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to excel in diverse and dynamic hospitality and tourism careers worldwide.
