The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a structured postgraduate program designed to develop advanced knowledge, leadership capabilities, and practical business skills. To successfully complete the MBA and qualify for the award, students must complete a total of 12 units, comprising eight core units and four elective units. This amounts to 96 credit points. The eight core units provide a strong foundation across critical business areas. These include subjects in ethical and legal business frameworks, accounting and financial management, data analysis, leadership, consumer behaviour, marketing, and research methodology. A major feature of the program is the capstone unit, the Applied Project, which allows students to apply the skills and knowledge developed throughout the course in a practical business context. This project enhances students’ ability to solve real-world business problems and demonstrates their readiness for senior roles.Students may pursue a general MBA by selecting any four electives from the available list, or they may choose to specialise in one of three key areas: Project Management, Information Technology, or Health Management. Each specialisation requires students to complete a specific set of elective units related to that field. For the Project Management specialisation, students complete units covering project planning, resource management, constraint management, and risk management. The Information Technology stream includes subjects on information systems, data management, system design, and cybersecurity. The Health Management specialisation focuses on healthcare systems, governance and quality, and evidence-based healthcare practice, plus one elective of the student's choice. This flexible structure allows students to align their studies with career goals while building advanced business acumen. Whether completing the general program or choosing a specialisation, graduates of the MBA program are well-prepared for leadership and senior management positions in a wide range of industries, both in Australia and internationally.
