The Master of Project Management and Business at APIC is structured to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in contemporary project and portfolio management. To qualify for the award, students must complete twelve units, equivalent to 96 credit points, comprising eight core units, three specialisation units, and one elective unit from approved options. The core curriculum establishes foundational expertise in key project management areas, beginning with Project Management Profession, Enterprise and Resource Planning, Project Constraint Management, and Procurement, Quality and Risk Management. These units provide students with a strong understanding of professional standards, planning, resource allocation, and risk mitigation within project environments. Building on this foundation, students progress to advanced topics through Project Delivery and Procurement and Project Integration and Change Management, which emphasise the coordination of complex projects, management of change, and strategic alignment of project objectives with organisational goals. Research Methodology and Data Analysis equips students with analytical and investigative skills required for evidence-based decision making and applied project research. The program culminates in the Applied Project, providing an opportunity for students to synthesise their learning and demonstrate practical competencies in planning, executing, and evaluating real-world projects. Each core unit carries eight credit points, representing 0.167 Equivalent Full-Time Student Load (EFTSL), and prerequisites are structured to ensure progressive learning and mastery of essential concepts before undertaking advanced coursework. Alongside the core units, students complete three specialisation units tailored to their chosen pathway, enabling focused expertise in areas such as ICT Project Management or industry-specific project practices. One elective unit offers flexibility for students to explore additional interests or emerging industry trends. Overall, the course structure is designed to produce graduates who are strategically capable, technically proficient, and industry-ready, prepared to lead projects, manage resources effectively, and contribute to organisational success across diverse sectors.
