The Bachelor of Analytics is structured across three levels, offering a carefully designed progression of knowledge and skills in business and data analytics. In the first stage, students are introduced to core business principles and foundational analytics. Units such as The Macro-environment in Business, Fundamentals of Management, and Strategic Management provide an understanding of the business context, while Fundamentals of Business Statistics, Tools for Data Exploration, Databases for Business Intelligence, and Data Analytics with R establish the essential technical grounding. This stage also integrates practical experience through Work Integrated Learning (Foundations), allowing students to begin applying concepts in real-world contexts.At the second level, students delve deeper into advanced topics, exploring both the disruptive role of technology and the application of analytics. Key units such as Disruption and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Digital Ethics, and Project Management highlight the broader context of change and leadership in modern organisations. From a technical perspective, students develop strong applied skills through units like Statistical Applications in Data Science, Visual Analytics, Data Wrangling and Analysis with Python, and Predictive Analytics. Together, these units strengthen technical fluency while fostering critical awareness of the ethical and strategic dimensions of data use. This level also includes the ePortfolio A unit, enabling students to document their development and demonstrate professional competencies.In the final stage, students focus on specialised and practical applications of analytics. Units such as Social Media Analytics, Customer Analytics, and Communication and Data Storytelling prepare students to work with diverse datasets and present insights effectively to stakeholders. The program culminates with two major applied projects, Analytics Project 1 and Analytics Project 2, which integrate skills across statistics, programming, and predictive modeling. The ePortfolio B and the Work Integrated Learning Capstone consolidate the entire learning journey, showcasing students’ ability to contribute to organisational decision-making with real-world relevance. Overall, the course blends business knowledge, technical expertise, and practical application, ensuring graduates are work-ready and prepared to meet the demands of data-driven industries.
